Globalization 4.0 and the E-Graveyards

Congratulations! We are living in an era of Globalization 4.0. You can call yourself the living inhabitant of the "Global Village"-the foundations of which are built on digital technology. But you are not alone here as you are accompanied by the dead humans as well!

With an increasing integration of technology into our daily lives; everyone is getting closer to social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. are some of the most quoted examples worldwide. These password protected accounts by individuals continuously get feeds from individuals and their followers and friends.

What happens when the very same person dies and his/her account still remains there? the simple possibility is that they remain there unless removed by someone. The "remains" of the social media accounts of the dead ones can be called as the "e-graveyards" of the dead ones.

In the recent past days, i have gone through the existing "e-graveyards" of few Pakistan based accounts and it gave me yet another feeling of getting connected with the dead ones for their values, thoughts and ideas but under limited accessibility mode as with some of them i was not friend or follower.

The question however arises; while we are living and have social media accounts should we be responsibly keep updating them for our original thoughts etc to remain alive after death ?

Do we need to be consciously what we actually are on social media platforms and not be artificial or fake?
